Downtown
The design of the Davenport Tower began in the fall of 2005 with a goal of having the new 18 story hotel and a 5 story parking garage available for guests attending the US Figure Skating Championship in January 2007.

Educational resources

Here are some resources for those making decisions about what type of structure to build and whether precast/prestress is right for your project.

PCI- Precast Prestressed Concrete Institute

PCI is a great resource for those interested in learning more about precast/prestressed concrete projects. They offer education and resources as a trade organization for architects and engineers. Their web address is www.pci.org.

Designer's Knowledge Bank

The Designer's Knowledge Bank is a function of PCI. It provides keyword searches on reports that are helpful in making precast/prestress building decisions. See their website at: www.precastanswers.com.
